More Information

Will the PayNearMe agent or store know how much I owe?

Agents at a PayNearMe location may not have access to your ledger information. Make sure you know your balance before arriving at the participating agent or store location.

When will my property manager be notified of my payment?

Notice of your payment will reach your account on the next business day.

Do I need to give any additional information when making a payment?

Besides your barcode, some retail agents require personal identification such as name, address and phone number to properly credit your rent payment.

My rent is due today. Can I make a same-day payment?

Payments made before 7 p.m. local time generally post in the early morning hours of the following day. Contact your property manager for specific posting times.

What happens if I don’t include the transaction fee when I make a payment?

If you do not include the transaction fee, the agent will take the fee out of your rent payment instead. Make sure to add the transaction fee to make sure your rent is paid in full.

If I overpay, can I get a refund?

No. Any overpayment will be considered a credit on your account ledger.

Can I use my WIPS number and pay with a check, money order, debit card, or credit card?

Generally, most PayNearMe agents only accept cash. However, some agents may also accept debit cards.

Does everyone in my household need their own WIPS number?

No. Only those household members (roommates) making rent payments will need a WIPS number.

What if I forget or lose my WIPS number?

Contact your property manager.

What if I move?

Your WIPS number is only good for your specific apartment. If you move to another unit managed by THA, your property manager can issue you a new WIPS number.
