THA Sets Sights on Mixed-use Development on MLK

Plans for an apartment complex on Tacoma’s Hilltop could get bigger with the addition of an adjoining property that could add retail spaces and other amenities.  Tacoma Housing Authority had been working on development plans for apartments at the corner of Martin Luther King Junior Way and Earnest S. Brazill Street and then gained the option to purchase the Alberta Canada/New Look building, prompting officials to research the creation of a larger project.
