NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD & PUBLIC HEARING
Tacoma Housing Authority (THA) seeks comments and suggestions about a change it is considering to its Grievance Process for Applicants and Participants.
Proposed Changes
THA proposes changes to its Grievance Process for applicants and participants. The Grievance Process includes THA’s policies for its informal reviews and informal hearings. Informal reviews (for applicants only) and informal hearings (for participants only) provide an opportunity to appeal or dispute certain types of decisions made by THA – most used to appeal or dispute a decision to deny or end housing assistance.

Deadline for Comments
We will receive comments regarding the proposed changes during a 30-day public comment period from August 14, 2020 to September 14, 2020. We need all feedback by 5 pm, September 14,2020.
The Tacoma Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will vote on the adoption of this policy on Thursday, October 28 at 4:45 pm at Dixon Village, 5420 S. Stevens, Tacoma, WA 98409.
Meeting dates, locations, and times are subject to change. Up-to-date information is posted on the Tacoma Housing Authority (THA) website. You may contact the THA office the week prior to the scheduled meeting to confirm this information. The sites are accessible to persons with disabilities.
