Salishan’s neighborhood core will have the Education, Training and Retail Center. THA will build, own and manage this three story, 36,000 square foot, building. The second and third floor will host programs by partner agencies designed to take a child or grown up wherever they are in their education and training and push them further. These will include degree granting programs by local colleges, programs by the Tacoma School District, and job training programs by local nonprofits.

The first floor will have a public library, an early child development child care center, a bank or credit union, and a green grocer/deli.
