Salishan’s neighborhood core will have important commercial and community services. One of the most important will be Community Health Care’s (CHC) new Kimi and Dr. George Tanbara Medical-Dental Clinic. CHC is a CHC nonprofit organization that has provided high quality primary health care in Pierce County for decades. CHC has been in Salishan since the 1970s, most recently in a building it had outgrown.

CHC is building a brand new clinic on a larger scale. The new clinic building will be three stories tall, with over 30,000 square feet. For the first time it will have geriatric specialists. This is notable because Salishan’s two senior buildings will be within a half block walk of the clinic. For the first time, it will have a dental clinic. And, for the first time, the clinic will have its own pharmacy.
